Default Gaining Strength

GAINING STRENGTH

There are steps we need to take to gain strength in our bodies. We are to get in a daily routine, use weights, do repetitions, eat right and be consistent. After a while, we will begin to feel better, gain strength and see the results in our bodies. There are also steps we need to take to gain spiritual strength. We are to get in a daily routine, pray, read God's word, wait for His answer, and then take action. After a while, we will begin to feel better, gain wisdom and see the results in ourselves and others. The key is not to skip any step but know when we do all these things together, we will become stronger. The key is to wait for God’s answer and pay attention to what He says so we will have greater understanding.

Luke 8:18 “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know sometimes we like to take shortcuts. In this fast-paced world, we like everything immediately. We get frustrated if we have to wait. We get bored if things don’t happen right away. We get antsy and decide to move on without You if things don’t happen quick enough. Help us today to remember to take the proper steps to gain strength from You. When we get in a rush and do only one or two steps, we won’t see the results You have planned for us. Help us to take all the steps to gain spiritual strength as You have called us to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Gaining strength from God requires that we spend time with Him every day.

When we get too busy for God, His plans for us fade away.

When we take time for God every day, He will strengthen us in His word.

When we take time for God every day, He will show us His will.

It is good to be excited about doing God’s will but first we need to sit back and wait for His answer.

Proverbs 19:2 “Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.” (NLT)

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
