Default Selling Ourselves Short

Sometimes when we're new to recovery the temptation to give up can be quite strong and very easy to follow. Nothing really binds us to our recovery except for our past, and we can very easily say to ourselves that we're not going to let that happen again. Unfortunately, for those of us who have this problem, it's bound to happen over and over again without us having recovery. For us, it's only a matter of when it's going to happen, not if it's going to happen. Knowing and accepting this it would be wise for us to stay with our recovery. We won't want to sell ourselves short, and cut ourselves off from all that's possible for us by being in recovery. We may not yet know all that might be, but by now we surely know all the trouble we'll be in, if we don't stay in recovery.
