Unlimited Forgiveness

Unlimited Forgiveness
As I choose to forgive, I find peace and freedom.

I may be angry at others or at myself for past actions. But no matter the difficulty, I can choose to forgive and live in peace.

Unlimited forgiveness means I am willing to cease blaming others and myself. When I stop pointing my finger, I become ready to genuinely feel my emotions. I don’t have to weather my feelings alone—I can pray to God for help. If anger returns, I choose to forgive again, as many times as needed.

To forgive does not mean I approve of what has happened. It means I am ready to leave the past behind, and be free and joyful again. I keep my intention to forgive, and I am patient with myself. As I let go of resentment and pain, I welcome the gift of grace.
“How often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”—Matthew 18:21-22
